Terms of Service

By booking a trial, purchasing a session pack, or otherwise using the UrduBuddy website and lessons (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service is intended for use by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a child, or by an adult learner. If you are booking on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and are authorised to accept these terms on their behalf.

UrduBuddy provides personalised, 1-on-1 online Urdu lessons taught by Ustaad Sahab, delivered by video call to families around the World.

Free trial sessions and paid lessons are booked through our scheduling link (Calendly). Lesson content, pace, and level are tailored to each student following an initial assessment.

Sessions may be booked individually or as part of a multi-session pack, as described on our Courses & Pricing page. Prices are listed in GBP (£) and are subject to change with reasonable notice.

Payment for session packs is arranged directly with us following your free trial, via the payment method we confirm at that time. Session packs are valid for the period communicated to you at the time of purchase and unused sessions do not automatically carry over unless agreed otherwise.

We do not store or process card details on this website; any payment is handled through a third-party payment method agreed with you directly.

We understand that plans change. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson so that the time slot can be offered to another family.

Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, may be counted as used within your session pack. Repeated late cancellations may affect your ability to hold a recurring time slot.

You agree to provide accurate information when booking, to ensure a parent or guardian is reasonably available during lessons with a minor, and to treat Ustaad Sahab and the UrduBuddy platform with respect.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue lessons in cases of abusive behaviour, repeated no-shows, or misuse of the Service.

All lesson materials, word-cards, worksheets, and content created by UrduBuddy remain the intellectual property of UrduBuddy. You may use them for your own family's or student's personal learning, but may not redistribute, resell, or publish them without our written permission.

UrduBuddy lessons are provided on a good-faith, best-effort basis to support language learning; we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or timelines, as progress varies by student.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UrduBuddy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

As UrduBuddy serves families internationally, these terms are intended to be interpreted reasonably and in good faith wherever you are located. Specific governing law and jurisdiction will be confirmed on request.
